Dr. Alison Christensen specializes in dental care for children, young adults, and individuals with special needs. She truly believes that every child deserves personalized care and attentiveness at each visit, because she understands the importance of positive dental experiences. As a mother, she truly cares for every child as if they were her own.

Dr. Alison is a Waterloo native and a Waterloo West High graduate. She attended the University of Northern Iowa, where she was a dual major in Geology and Earth Science. She then studied at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She continued at the University of Iowa for her two year residency in pediatric dentistry where she received the honor of being Chief Resident. During her residency, she gained extensive knowledge of treating children with special healthcare needs and hospital dentistry at Stead Family Children’s Hospital. She cherished this special training and continued to adjunct teach at the University of Iowa after completion of her residency. Dr. Alison received the highest achievement possible in pediatric dentistry, by becoming a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist.

Dr. Alison practiced in the greater Des Moines area for three years and is now excited to return to Waterloo to start her practice and serve the families of the Cedar Valley.
