We are currently prioritizing new patients who are children less than 6 years old and living within Black Hawk County for our Medicaid programs. All newly accepted patients will transition from our pediatric office to a general dentist between the ages of 6 and 12, based on their individual needs. We also accept patients of all ages with Medicaid insurance who are referred for dental restorative treatment from local dentists, with the understanding that they will return to their referring dentist for future cleanings.
Please note, we have a waiting list for new Medicaid Dental Wellness Kids patients. We currently accept both Delta Dental and MCNA. Starting July 2026, we will only be accepting Delta Dental patients. We will NOT be in network with DentaQuest. I understand that in order to continue to have my children be seen at Waterloo Pediatric Dentistry, I will have to choose Delta Dental as their dental carrier.
Additionally, we are currently accepting Hawki patients of all ages.
